Sams’K Le Jah records at LAND HO!

(EN) Sams’K Le Jah came to LAND HO! in April 2018. At their show in Madrid they met the LAND HO!er Ivan Raymores and it was “friendship at first sight”. In the days after we actually realised the importance of the role played by Sams’k Le Jah, Smokey and his band at Burkina Faso’s revolution of 2014 and the influence he still has as “voice of the people” in his country. Spontaneously the band decided to take advantage of their free time together in Madrid to do a recording session in LAND HO!. They recorded a lot of high level material in relative few hours. We recorded drums, guitars, bass and keybords. It was all about the most pure and traditional reggae music with social and political lyrics. Additionally, the day after we recorded a LAND HO!’s sofa session, where they played an accoustic version of their song Mafiafrique with Kora (african Harp), guitar and voice. We are glad to have met this artists, who extended once more our political horizon and with whom we found a deep human quality.
